The 2014 baseball season hopes to be a very exciting year. Many of last year's core group of players will be returning with one year of varsity experience under their belt. With the addition of some new students, who worked out during our fall practices, this spring will be very competitive. If we have enough players we will field a JV team.
We hope to get a quick start to the season with winter workouts which I hope all players will take advantage of. Starting in January will be conducting some off season workouts @ Rate of Force Gym on RT 17 K in Circleville NY(or new address) . Cost $15.00 . Sessions are not mandatory but I would encourage all invited to participate. We will announce each week if we are having the session. I will keep you posted on the dates and the new location of the Gym.
We are ordering new uniforms for the varsity players. We will have a fund raiser in the new year to help pay for our program
All players should understand that during the season all practices and games will be mandatory. Daily afternoon practices will be from 3 to 5:30 along with some weekend practices. Travel ball schedules must be secondary to the varsity practice and game schedules. No player can pitch on outside teams during the spring season. If practices are scheduled during spring break they also will be mandatory.
Some of our players have started a fitness program at Rate of Force in Circleville NY. Players interested in a specialized baseball fitness program should contact Trainer Nick Gliemli at 845 -361-2419 for some discounted Burke Baseball Rates. Get bigger, faster, stronger.
